If you prefer you can use your own router, as long as it has the following specs:

Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) or Wi-Fi 6/6E (802.11ax) or Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be)
1000Base-T or faster ethernet port for your internet connection (WAN)
1000Base-T or faster ethernet port for your local network (LAN)
Minimum WPA2 Security (WPA3 preferred)

Note that if you use your own router, Avative won't be able to provide you with router setup or troubleshooting. We only recommend doing this if you're comfortable setting up your own home network.
